No it's not Ben Winkler from the Geico commercials.
No it's not that little chubby kid from Bad Santa.
It's Steven Lenhart with the tying goal in the 89th minute. As Lenhart gets the nod for tonight's Man of the Match after bringing the Crew back from death a second and final time to get a decisive tie on the road.
What's even more impressive is that the Crew in tonight's contest looked done and dusted down 2-0 with 20 minutes remaining. But, after giving their best Dutch performance last week. The Crew pulled some Turkey heroics this week with 3 goals at the end of the contest, looking like Fenerbache in the Black and Yellow striped uniforms.
The Crew's last 20 minutes seemed soccer god sent after the disaster start to both halves. And, I can definitely settle for the tie on the West Coast. Especially with Chicago and New England losing while TFC tied at home.
As a result, going into next week's contest the Crew still hold onto second in the East and in the league being five back of New England. However, the Crew have two games in hand.
If the Crew can iron out a few lineup problems against a weak Colorado team and a struggling Chicago team at home the next two weeks then expect them to be once again a top the standings.

Even if we scored 3 goals, we are still sort of having troubles with our forward position. I say that we make a trade for Jeff Cunningham. He adored us and if you watch that tfc tv thing they ask him what his favorite soccer moment was and he said scoring the 1st goal in Crew stadium for the Crew. I think it would be really special if he came over and scored his 100th career goal for us as a sign of starting over again with us. (I know this is not going to happen but i can dream can't I?)
I think the solution to the problems up front is more playing time for Lenhart. Sure he's still working out the kinks as a pro, but he brings energy and excitement to the field that we could really use these days. He really knows how to find the net (he was a scoring machine in his days at Azusa Pacific University), and light up the pitch.
More fro time!
