**The first half was the worst soccer I saw this team play since the All Star break.
**Since when has Brian McBride scored in a stationary position with his feet 6 yards from goal twice? The defense shouldn't allow him to get in that close. Very soft goals that could have been contained if someone would have just stayed in front of him.
I get Brian McBride scoring with headers in that position but not on the ground.
The first goal should have been saved by Will Hesmer. The second goal was heads up by Brian McBride. But, I don't get how a ball on the ground gets to McBride within 6 yards of goal. Shouldn't happen.
**Pat Noonan looked ineffective and not really into it on Sunday.
**Ekpo came in at the 90th minute mark which was about 25-30 minutes later than he should have.
**Garey and Lenhart played well when they came in(especially Garey) but they need to not pass the ball to the opposing goal keeper on the 20 second half breakaway's we had. Strike it upper 90.
**What a strike by Eddie Gaven. Man has he gotten it together since the all star break.
**I'm concerned that we haven't beat Chicago yet this year. 2 ties and an Open Cup overtime defeat. If we meet them in the Conference Finals, it should be a battle. We seem to have the upper hand on all opponents except them so far.
We are always coming from behind against them. And, even when we went up 2-1. I had a feeling that we would at best still tie.
**These teams love 2-2 ties. Each game this year against Chicago has ended in regular time 2-2.
**It was nice to see Guillermo score from the run of play again (who called it?) Surprising that the 5'7 midfielder scored with his head. Guille looked pumped and that was nice to see.
Glad he is back to his oldself.
**I would like us to continue playing our top lineups. Get 60 points this season and keep the momentum going into the playoffs.
The first half performance in this game means that no one deserves to rest.
Also we could definitely use a little bit of Frankie back in the back line. Possibly (if this makes any sense) O'Rourke's speed in the middle would have dealt better with McBride's lack of speed. I still can't believe he scored twice within the six with his feet.

I agree with the thought about the first half, it was pretty brutal to witness. However the two goal surge in the second half was excellent to behold.
