Tuesday Crew News

It's been a little quiet out there on the news front, here are a couple of interesting stories in Crew-land:

**Pat Noonan was on CD101 this morning (the second time he has been on there since coming to C-Bus). Maybe Noonan has an offseason job in the works as a DJ? You can listen in on what he had to say by clicking here and scrolling down a little.

Also congrats on his upcoming wedding.

**On Sportsnet Canada, Carver had some interesting comments about the Crew destroying TFC's playoff hopes by playing their reserves in New York (aww tears..):

The loss by Columbus stirred up controversy in TFC circles as Crew manager Sigi Schmid played mostly reserves against the Red Bull.

"Who am I to criticize a guy who has won the championship, more or less?" Carver said of Scmid's decision. "He's earned the right to be top of the league and do what he wants, so I can't criticize that."

But before letting the topic rest, Carver was quick to point out how players and coaches have long memories when it comes to the actions of other teams.

"It is his decision but it is something you keep in the back of your mind for later."

I'm having a huh moment. Since when does the Crew have a responsibility to look out for TFC's playoff hopes? If TFC wouldn't allow so many late game goals they would be in. Not our problem.
**After Frankie made international headlines for his partying with the supporters, Andy Greunebaum has put the Crew back on the international map (albeit with less glamor.)

Italian news link.

And, that wasn't the end of the international news sadly. I have seen articles in German, Polish, and French on the turf wonder goal. But, if I was Andy G., I would try to look on the brightside of life. Who would of thought that Andy Greunebaum or Danny Cepero would become household names in Rome, Italy before that game? I don't think that was a grouchy point.

**Get a beer from Frankie, Duncan, or Jason Garey on Thursday as they Celebrity bartend at Brewsky's between 7 and 9 p.m.

**Also information on Casino Night next Monday here. The team will give out awards with Casino games to follow. Starts at 7 p.m. at the Lifestyle Pavilion, behind the Arena district downtown.
