Front Page Gino Was a Friend of Mine

Interesting and spot on quote here by Pauncho on Bigsoccer(and not taking anything away from Gino who has been heaven sent at left back):
"Want the best possible evidence the Buckeyes are disappointing this year? The front page of the Dispatch sports section, two and a half weeks before the Michigan game, was dominated by a full-color picture and feature article about a foreigner who is the third-best defender on the soccer team."

I have to disagree with third-best, Gino has been a difference maker on the back line and I think our back line is equally pretty good. But, for the Buckeye dominated papers it is pretty surprising.

The good news in the article is that Gino has a four year, team determined option with the Crew and he is happy to be here. I would be totally cool with 3 more years of Gino at left back.
