This Is The Year

I think next season there will be a couple of shake ups, but nothing really debilitating:
**I talked to a guy that ran into a player or two at a bar after the win on Thursday. He said that one of the players said, "it's unlikely Sigi will be back next year."

**It also seems like Chad Marshall will attempt to play at a higher level as I have heard a couple of things about him being gone after this season. Seems like some others have as well.

**I expect O'Rourke to definitely be back.

**GBS is still a question mark, but I could see him back unless Boca gives him a coaching job. His family likes it here and it seems so does GBS.

**If a few guys go, it allows guys like Ekpo, Noonan, Iro, Moffat, etc. to start more. All guys that have the capability to start for any team today and should get alot more time next year.

What I'm expecting for next year, although I hope Sigi, Marshall, etc. stay.

Head Coach: Robert Warzycha
Lineup:
------------------Hesmer----------------------
Hejduk-------O'Rourke-------Iro---------Padula
------------------Carroll---------------------
Gaven--------------Evans----------------Rogers
-----------------GBS/Ekpo---------------------
------------------Moreno----------------------

One of the three of Gaven, Evans, and Rogers will either go to another team or end up in Europe.

Possible other starters: Noonan and Moffat

Signings: A new defender and a new striker.

GBS continues to be productive but not as much as this season. Needs more rest from Ekpo or Noonan. If neither Noonan or Ekpo get substantially more playing time in 2009, I wouldn't expect them to stay around for long. Those two are starters on any other team.

I really hope Ekpo at least becomes a full fledged starter next year. That's a guy we need to hang onto.
