TIFO Plan, Please Spread The Word Around The Section

PLAN FOR TIFO TONIGHT: IF YOU WERE INVOLVED IN MAKING THE TIFO'S, YOU SHOULD DEFINITELY READ THIS. IF YOUR IN THE SECTION YOU SHOULD READ THIS AS WELL BECAUSE WE NEED EVERYONE TO PARTICIPATE IN HOLDING THESE TIFO's. PLEASE BE AWARE OF THE TIFO'S AND BE RESPECTFUL OF THE HARD WORK WE ALL HAVE PUT INTO THEM. IT COST QUITE A CHUNK OF CHANGE, at least 80 bucks a piece for some of us and I'm assuming Thoma's cost more. So please don't rip them up or anything. THESE TIFO'S WILL NOT AFFECT WATCHING THE GAME. DEPENDENT ON HOW PRE-GAME GOES AND HOW FULL THE SECTION IS AT PRE-GAME WE WILL LIFT THEM UP. IF IT DOESN'T FEEL GOOD THEN WE WILL DO IT A COUPLE MINUTES BEFORE SECOND HALF BUT WE'RE SHOOTING FOR AROUND INTRODUCTIONS. EITHER WAY WE WON'T HAVE THEM GOING ON DURING THE GAME OBSTRUCTING VIEWS. It will be held up for 2 to 4 minutes at the most.

We need a time to take the TIFO's in and plan. I say all of us that made TIFO's just meet up at 5 p.m.-5:30p.m. at the stadium and go over the plan in the section. It will take us 15-20 minutes then back to tailgating. I wouldn't mind setting up at like 5 if it's not going to rain. Setting up entails just placing the TIFO's in their spots before the game. I'm going to pick mine up from JT's now since I had to let it dry at his place.

On the way I think I'm going to pick up the yellow construction paper since we should be good on rain. Depending on if I can find any in bulk. If not 5 Tifo's at once along with jersey flag above should do the trick. If I run into a party store maybe I'll buy some table roll's instead. If I don't though it should still look good.

This is how I was thinking about doing it.

1.) Lift the jersey flag through the bottom center of section all the way to the top of section, like it's crowdsurfing over top of the crowd.

It will look cool lifting it from the bottom to the top. I have seen this done at Polish national games where they send a huge Eagle banner around the crowd during WC. I also seen TFC do it with just their regular fans with sending the jersey flag around.

Once it meets it's location at the top center.

2.) Unfurl all the rest of the TIFO's they will be together with no spacing in between. The two largest new ones being(mine and Thoma's in the middle). And, Kev's/Danza's and Anthony's smaller ones enveloping them on the sides for semetry(doesn't matter which one is on the left or the right, we will figure that out in the walk through. The right one will be in Crew Union's section. The left one in the section to the immediate left of HSH.

Crew Union's section and the one to the left is encouraged to wave flags at this time as well just make sure it's not covering the TIFO effort in your section. Which only means wave your flag a couple of feet away. The smaller ones are only a little bigger then a queen size bedsheet. The larger ones are much larger.

My old one from earlier in the season which is large as well. Will be given to the section to the farthest left by the stage to hold up.

3.) After these are up. If I end up getting the construction paper or the table rolls. Which is about 50%/50% right now. I'll yell for these to go up to.

We will need some of the TIFO participants to be relaying messages during this, just telling people, "to raise it up."

4.) Once those are up i'll give some yellow construction paper to the rows above each TIFO(done before the actual rest goes up) and have them hold it up at the same time.

That may be a little tricky though and time consuming so I may scrape it unless I run over to JT's to pick my tifo and some better idea pops into my head for the yellow around. May not be necessary.

That's the best plan I can come up with and we don't have anymore time to ponder a hundred different plans. If your involved in the Tifo's we can talk more about placing when we set up.

Also everyone please spread the word that something special is going on tonight in the section and we will be holding up Tifo's. I don't want to have a group of people around a TIFO with not a clue of what's up. And, have this fall on it's face.
