3/20/09: Spurious Thoughts On The Seattle Opener

1.) Both of those teams stunk up Qwest Field last night. Looked like a high school game. Lots of bad passes and choppy play.
2.) Cepero was awful, should have stopped all three. Fell down on the first and third. Nutmegged on the second. If he plays like that all year NYRB are going to have some real problems.
3.) Red Bulls are just really bad and miss DVB. I wouldn't be surprised if both of those teams finish near the bottom of the league, maybe it's just early season rust vs. we never played a game before rust. But, it was time to stand up and applause if there were three passes in a row last night.
4.) Montero looks like a good pick up and Le Toux looks like he will have no problems making the adjustment from USL.
5.) Congrats to Brad Evans for opening his goal scoring account early.
6.) Sound Wave is pretty lame. Felt like I was playing NCAA Football on Xbox.
7.) What was that sign in front of their section? Did it say "Broland?"

Yes, yes it did:

What did you think of TFC v. 2.0? I think Green Street 3 will be based in America, where Toronto fans will travel to Toronto 7,000 deep and have an epic battle with the Sound Wave to revenge Lil' Meaty:

i think the band adds an awesome aspect, i mean its not like they played constantly

The band sucked. Bands have no business in soccer.

Neither do cheerleaders.

Tell that to Argentina or Mexico.

At least some cheerleaders are hot.
