3/27/09: Arsenal For Two Sticks And Crowd Banners

Overall that I know of for two sticks:

Thoma 27 definite to 30

Big Al 15

Me 20 definite to 24

Kev/Matt Morgan 5

So, at the small end 68 with a possible total of 72-75.

I count 33 in this picture:


So at least double that. Not bad. I also think some of these are the array of quality of Thoma's(below) which are overall top notch, Big Al's in the middle, and some of them are the quality of mine which are okay.


Hopefully this goes alright. Were definitely not the professionals like the guys in the photo above and this is a first go, there is a chance some Crew fans in the section may have no clue what is up. But, we will try our best. We will probably pass them out 20 minutes before the teams walkout and then tell everyone to hold them up then. Please be respectful of the work done, hold them up for the time during the walkout, and then either use them to celebrate for the rest of the game during hopefully goals, place them behind your feet, or pass them to the front. Don't take off with them as we will be storing the ones still workable inside the stadium for other games.

Also, unfornately we sort of have to get the awareness out there for at least a good portion of the section to know whats up. This is new to us and once we become better at it we won't have to put anything on forums except for minimum information, but there will be some secrets both with the two sticks and banners on Saturday. My last 10 or so that I made I'm not sharing online. I think Thoma has a bunch that are secret. And, Big Al has a few as well. The point in posting these is to generate some interest with Crew fans on a sort of foreign concept not only to us but to most MLS fans. Also, if you want to make a quick couple tomorrow night, let me know and I'll give you some easy instructions through email. 1 costs like $5 bucks, you could make 4 under $20. Let me know. Not a bad way to pregame on a Friday with a couple of beers.

In the end for Crew fans in the Nordecke, if your handed a two stick on Saturday. Get a 3 minute arm workout during the walkout and look at how your holding it up in front of you. That's all that is needed.

For Crowd Banners:
I know Thoma has some huge ones, Warzycha one and some secret ones.
I have heard of a couple other guys I don't personally know but emailed me asking about adhesive and other things for large crowd banners.
So, maybe at half we can pop off something like the Eastern Conference.


Or maybe we'll throw them up behind the two sticks to cover the whole section at once not sure yet, that may be a little too complicated. Might be a game time decision what we do with that. But, anyways other then that. We'll try to get a more comprehensive plan together tomorrow, email me if you want to help.
