Crew Re-Signs Kevin Burns To Last Developmetal Spot:
“We are pleased to get Kevin signed this year. He was a player who we thought had good potential last year, but unfortunately he was injured early on and was unable to contribute,” said technical director Brian Bliss. “We expect him to pick up where he left off last year and help us solidify our central midfield. He is a smart player who reads the game well and can distribute the ball well over distance.”
Burns will move into the spot previously occupied by the waived goalkeeper Kenny Scheoni. Bummer for Scheoni, because it could have been nice to see what Scheoni has after watching Greunebaum get beat by another keeper from 60 yards out last year and watching Hesmer look like a J.V. goalkeeper last night.
Anyways, I think that about does it for Tony Labudovski or any other roster invites trying to sneak their way onto the roster. I believe Labudovski was the next developmental player if the Crew couldn't work it out with Kevin Burns.
