Greetings from Utah!
That's a shot of Rio Tinto today around 1pm today. Snowplow and all.
A few beginning thoughts on SLC. No real match preview as I got about 2-3 hours of total sleep and after missing our initial flight (Thanks Dayton International!) Blake, Jaz and I were on our way to the wild west.
1) Everyone is insanely nice here. After being greeted warmly by two random people outside our hotel today and walking around for a bit trying to find the TRAX station someone not only gave us directions, but offered us a ride!
2) Rio Tinto is a very nice stadium. We got a stadium tour today from former RSL employee and current Crew Director of Hispanic Development Francisco Terreros. Great stadium and great guy! He is going to make an excellent addition to the Crew front office.
3) Salt Lake City has some great supporters. Class guys. Watched the USA v T&T game with a few of them at "The Republican" the Irish pub they hang out at. Cool bar and a great time!
Only 1 thing the bothers the crap out of me about this place. Their liqour laws are insane. Not only can you not buy a cold, full strength carryout beer in this town, but a 6 of warm Newcastle cost me over $14!
Anyway, there is a screaming baby in the room next to us and I need to be way more drunk to pass out with all this noise. Will check in more throughout the trip. Massive radio will not be going on this weekend due to technical issues, but we will be recapping everything on a special edition of the show when we get back.

Jericho - Glad you could make the trip. Wish the weather could have been better so you could see the stadium in full sun-kissed glory.
If you see this before the match, gimme a shout at realslfan@yahoo.com and I can stop by and say hey before the game tomorrow.
Also don't miss the home brew event in the lot just south and slightly west of the stadium.
Man, this is alot more friendly fan interaction then against Toronto FC, lol.
I should have a preview up tomorrow morning. I'm way behind on a law paper so kind of been putting it off.
You paid 14 bucks for a sixer of New Castle? Oh man they saw you comin'.
