In what was a crazy week, now we have a group called Crew Sports Holdings, LLC. involved, as the Noorzai's investor group which includes locals.

Its mission, Dave Whinham(President of the Team: sports, entertainment, and media) said, is "to shepherd, over time, the transition to local ownership and management of the Crew."

"They have made it clear they are going to stay here," Adams said. "I am so tied to the community here that the last thing I would ever do is publicly make a statement about a group of guys in which I risk my reputation and have it not be true.

"Soccer fans are pretty intense and I'm not sure I'd want to risk my safety and welfare by being involved with a group that would pull the wool over people's eyes."

Whinham also said that Noorzai, of Santa Barbara, Calif., would move his family to Columbus if the deal goes through.
