3/21/09: EPL News For Saturday

Got to give Luka Modric of Tottenham the player of the day. He was a terror on the field for Tottenham, scoring the winning goal to defeat Chelsea 1-0. Tottenham looked like they switched roles with Chelsea and were the top 4 team today.



Got to give Zoltan Gera of Fulham the goal of the day. His goal in the 87th was a bit of acrobatic magic that gave Fulham a surprise 2-0 victory over Manchester United.



So, two top sides went down today, three if you count Everton at sixth losing to Portsmouth 2-1. Would Arsenal also lose on the day?


Nope, they won 3-1 and toyed with Newcastle United in the second half.

Actually, I would bet the Crew would have a better chance of surviving in the Premiership from relegation then Newcastle United has. Newcastle was a mess as Arsenal had about 95% percent of the possession in the second half. That defense, especially Coloccini, was horrible. You could have drived a mack truck through Newcastle's central defense. Seriously, I wonder how Chad Marshall can only get interest from a Bundlesliga 2 team but Coloccini is on an EPL team? Newcastle United would be much better off with someone like Chad Marshall to be honest.

And, could Boswinga from Chelsea please shave the unibrow already? Will babies die if he shaves the unibrow?
