3/22/09: Post Game- Nice Call Ref

**I guess the way to stop Chad Marshall headers is to have two of your players run into each other by the play. Ridicoulous call by Tim Weiland.

Ruby's erupted into euphoria, I lost half my beer, and got knocked around a little on the goal celebration. Then we stood around the next 5 minutes wondering where the goal was? I guess FSC isn't big on replays or we celebrated for quite a while.

**Even though it should have been a 2-1 win, the Crew didn't play that well. I don't know if it was the half sand field but they looked very slow out there, even Ekpo on that field.

I couldn't point to anyone on the field as having a real good game. Schelotto had a moment of brillance that saved us but I couldn't point to anyone who had a real good game.

It looked like the first game of the season. Looked like the Crew were still feeling out the season.

**Garey with the perfect assist for Guillermo probably did more in his first 3 or 4 minutes on the field then Moreno did all game. Moreno looked slow and missed some sitters. I'm actually interested to see more from Garey and possibly Lenhart next week.

Also, we might just want to go with two forwards because we couldn't seem to penetrate the Houston defense at all last night.

**Grendi came on second half for an injured Rogers. Didn't really blow me away or have a really bad game. Sent a nice ball to Garey that setup the goal play.

**Overall, could be worse playing on the road in Houston. Got to step it up a little more next week.

**Mitchell article "Crew comes away with tie." Not exactly the worse result, seems the team is pretty pleased about it. I wouldn't be disappointed but as defending champs I wouldn't be pleased either, going to need much better.
