4/4/09: Toronto Bus Trip Details

Whaking up at 4 a.m. to get on a bus, cracking that first beer at 4:15 a.m., knowing your headed to the rivals den be it Toronto, Chicago, or D.C. is always probably one of the best feelings in the world.

Seems there will be two buses as that's all we can get. HSH and CSU will share a bus and then Allen is taking his own bus. When all is said and done the HSH/CSU bus will cost around $100 per person along with a stay in the hostel downtown as I have heard the whole hostel has been booked for Crew fans. I'll have more details on that bus soon, e-mail hshcrew@gmail.com or kmmc@crewunion.com for more details as well.

For a more high class experience or at least a stay in a nicer hotel with the players here is Allen's bus trip details. The plan for his trip mainly is "Leave early, party and eat on the way, enjoy the game and hang out at the awesome hotel with the Crew players/staff (please no elevator stalking this time…). I need full payment IMMEDIATELY so I can pay the bus group, hotel and TFC front office. If, please don’t let this happen, I cannot get at least 40 people for this bus by April 10th then it will likely be cancelled."

Here is a link to all his details. It's $170 for four people including the bus, the game, lunch on the way, and a stay in a nice hotel. Not too shabby. I personally, if I can will myself to risk my career as my finals start the week after, will be picking the cheaper HSH/CSU bus because as a single person there is no way I can plunk down $290 in this economy.

FYI as well, YOU DON'T NEED A PASSPORT UNTIL JUNE 9, 2009 TO GET BACK INTO THE UNITED STATES. So, for all the HSH I talked to on Thursday night freaking out because they can't go because they have no passport, there you go. All you need is a drivers license and possibly a birth certificate.

I went to both last year, trust me, it's a pretty damn good time:

It is $170 per person based on 4 people in the room. The rooms have 2 Queen beds and are spacious.

What is the name of the hotel?

The hotel is the Renaissance Downtown. We were there last year when the Crew won the Trillium cup. It's a very nice hotel and close to the local nightlife.
