Tonight we looked like a high school team out there. That performance may just have been the worst performance and the most the Crew has ever been beaten by another MLS team since I have been coming to games from Pennsylvania. Worse then anything I have ever seen even from the horrid years of 2005-2007. The Crew players and Warzycha have alot more work to do. Alot more work then we all thought they would have coming into 2009 to right the ship. They are without direction, passion, or heart out there right now.
All that heart from 2008 has disappeared. What I saw tonight was a team that doesn't give a rat's ass about the badge on their shirt. They played worthless, the whole lot of them.
It should be mostly the same side. But, they are playing nothing like it. It's on Warzycha to light a fire under their asses. That was just piss poor and they need a major performance on Sunday or this season starts to look rather dim.
Yes, it's early. But, all points count early in the season as well and we have not gained nearly enough.
Anyways, here's a consolation video I made earlier today to hopefully make everyone feel a little better about someone's(being the Nordecke) performance at least. I'll have a little more on the game tomorrow:

4/3/09: Well, That Was An Embarrassing Soul Wrenching Loss

yea.. rsl played real well though, finlay getting the hat trick is pretty sweet although embarrassing. Im still under the impression things just havent 'clicked' yet. last season the crew was well above anyone else in points, we still have time.
hesmer is an awesome goalie, but he definately had a bad game.. i guess its better to get it out early in the season then later.
I understand that the ball was cold but why did only the Crew have problems with that?
Never liked Hesmer...I think this game shows that he is just an average MLS goalie.
By the way, "a lot" is two words.
I don't give Robbie Findlay all that much credit. Hesmer had a forgettable game and assited on both of Findlay's goal.
Simply put the Crew deserved to lose the one, but not by a score of 4-1. RSL played their hearts out and will have a good chance to make it to the Final this year.
What's scary is that Sounders FC beat RSL 2-0. But we'll see how SSFC does on real grass.
*assisted* on Findaly's two goals.
Although whatever assited means, probably was better than what Hesmer did at Rio Tinto last night.
Findlay had three goals.
Who the hell is Findaly?
How slow did our defense look last night? Does anyone else think Ekpo is just not cut out to be in the center? It seems like this team thought they were going to just magically win without working at it. I don't think Warzycha can come away with any positives like he said about Saturday. Embarrassing is right.
Hesmer is average at best. Off his line creating the own goal against TFC and then making the two U-16 blunders against RSL. Ekpo is an outside player. When will Andy be ready? We also missed Frankie's passion these last 2 matches.
I recently heard this idea and had never thought of it before... Put O'Rourke back to his central midfield position until Moffat gets back and throw Iro in... Ekpo simply does not work in that position Warzycha has him playing
That might be an option. I think Ekpo has the talent but is better out wide. All he does in the middle is dribble the ball past one guy and then lose it. He was giving up possession all night. You can't dribble alot in the midfield, you need to pass right away. And, he did none of that. Ekpo likes to dribble and make moves, that's not what a central midfielder does.
I thought he was good against TFC. But, he was bad and ineffective last night. Which really isn't a problem considering everyone was bad and ineffective.
Oh, Ekpo is by far a better outwide player. That center mid Warzycha has him playing requires him, a player who is meant to be given the ball and told to run at the defense, to think about passing as quickly as possible and worrying a bit more about tactics. While he has been (in my opinion) awful in the spot, we do have to remember that this is likely a very new role for him in his soccer career.
And yes, everyone was indeed bad and ineffective last night. Warzycha better wake these boys up now and get something out of Chivas USA. Or this will be a long season I fear.
Side note: Did anyone else notice that Kyle Martino was under the impression that we play against the Galaxy on Sunday? What a bad commentator.
yea he was saying galaxy.. he might of been talking about the chivas galaxy derby coming up though
